Tricia Summersby

Certified Yoga Teacher
Tricia has been practicing yoga for over 28 years. "I was initially drawn to yoga like so many other people, to become more flexible, manage stress and to stretch out sore muscles from working out at the gym and being active. My yoga practice has adapted and changed along with me as I have aged. Yoga has helped me cope with emotional and physical changes and has made me more present and calm. It feeds and replenishes my mind, body and spirit and I became a teacher to help others".

Tricia has completed certifications to teach Yoga, Yin Yoga & Restorative Yoga and  has trained with inspirational teachers such as Travis Elliot, Lauren Eckstrom, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman-Yee, Rod Stryker, Ashley Turner, Diane Bruni, Seane Corn, Leslie Kaminoff & Natasha Rizopoulos.

“It does not matter whether you have done yoga before or not, just come as you are, it is never too late to start or re-start”.

Grace Burns

Yoga Therapist
As a dedicated fitness professional, my passion is to enable others to live healthy, vibrant lives. I am thankful I can teach and share yoga with my students and see how their lives change for the better. I am a certified Yoga teacher with The Yoga Alliance, have over 5000 hours of yoga teaching experience, and am trained in Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. I am also a Yoga Therapist who enjoys working privately with clients who would benefit from private teaching to heal from injuries, illness, accidents, and trauma. I have taught yoga to adults, seniors, people with special needs and disabilities, children, and provincially and nationally ranked elite athletes such as members of Canada’s Swim Team and Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. I have been a Yoga Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica and in 2012 produced my own Yoga television program on Rogers Durham called Yoga Moments with Grace.

I believe in life long learning and look for new ways of teaching yoga to keep my classes fresh, inspiring, and accessible to all. I look forward to meeting you in one of my classes!
