Class Details
Pilates
Pilates – a beginner to intermediate level Pilates class, great for applying the basic principles and alignment techniques while building strength and endurance.
Use of small props included: Mini stability balls, fitness circles, Flex-bands, Toning balls and more! |
Stability Ball - a great beginner to intermediate level class for gaining balance skills, cardio and strength. Dynamic movement at its best!
BYOB – Bring your own ball, if you do not have one, we have a couple of lenders, you can also purchase a ball from us, contact for details! |
We will introduce Intermediate/Advanced level classes as our client base grows.
Yoga
Our Yoga classes are Hatha and Viniyoga based – we approach all of our yoga classes with trauma sensitivity and use choice to develop a positive experience for all. We incorporate asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath practices) and meditation practices (relaxation and clarity for the mind). As well as mantra (repetition of words or chant), mudra (hand positions), and sound!
Our goal within our yoga teaching is to present it as authentically as we can, honouring yogic tradition, heritage and culture. You can expect to hear sanscrit words, terms and phrases, themes directly from the Yoga Sutras and the 8-limbs of yoga.

Restorative Yoga - gentle floor based yoga, using lots of support with bolsters and blankets, a great class for unwinding and reducing stress. Will be added in the New Year!
Somatic Movement
Somatic Movement classes are based in the tradition of Thomas Hanna and Hanna Somatic Education. Somatics are widely renowned in helping people to regain freedom from aches and pains in their bodies. Through motor-sensory actions/exercises we can learn to turn down the tension in our bodies. Brain body work that will change the way you look at life.
Soma Dance classes are intuitive and empowering, you can expect to let go of tension with Somatic movement and enjoy an immersive sensory experience, feeling your way through free flowing movement and dance to a carefully selected soundtrack by Alaria.
Specialty Series
We often run shorter sessions of classes called series or courses, these are like workshops run over longer periods, you can expect to be immersed in the session and come away with more than having had a regular group class. You may receive handouts and/or home practice notes.
Currently we are running a Yoga for Stress Reduction series, 4 weeks, Fridays 5:30-6:45pm - Nov 30, Dec 7 and 14. 3 weeks left $20. for each individual class or $60. for the remainder of the series.
