Pilates

Pilates Mat for Beginners - Pilates education and fundamentals, you won't get anywhere else. STOTT PILATES basic principles and essential level programming. Beginner students can learn all the great fundamentals of Pilates with a progressive introduction at a comfortable pace. Use of small equipment included.
Essential Pilates Mat – a beginner to intermediate level Pilates class, great for applying the basic principles and alignment techniques while building strength and endurance.
Use of small props included:
Mini stability balls,
Fitness circles,
Flex-bands,
Toning balls and more!

Intermediate Pilates Mat - intermediate level programming, continue to build your skills with this challenging Mat repertoire. Ideally you have done Pilates before and are ready to take it to the next level. Use of small equipment included. This is a level 2 Pilates Mat class.
Mini Ball & Bands - This class features the Mini Stability Ball & Flex bands (or Therabands), add some balance and resistance to your Pilates Mat workout today! Never boring and you will finish feeling stronger every time. Use what you have, or you can purchase this equipment package from us directly.
Stability Ball
Ball Class - a perfect beginner level class for gaining balance skills, cardio and strength using the Swiss stability ball. Dynamic movement at its best!
We provide stability balls for this class, although also encourage you to bring your own as you get more comfortable with your own ball over time. |
Intermediate Ball - This ball class includes cardio, balance, strength and coordination. Great for increasing your challenge level on the ball. Get ready to sweat and have a good time!
Yoga
Our Yoga classes are Hatha and Viniyoga based – we approach all of our yoga classes with trauma sensitivity and use choice to develop a positive experience for all. We incorporate asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath practices) and meditation practices (relaxation and clarity for the mind). As well as mantra (repetition of words or chant), mudra (hand positions), and sound!
Our goal within our yoga teaching is to present it as authentically as we can, honouring yogic tradition, heritage and Indian culture. You can expect to hear Sanscrit words, terms and phrases, themes directly from the Yoga Sutras and the 8-limbs of yoga. |
Yoga for Stress Reduction - This gentle yoga and restorative class is designed for decreasing stress in your body and mind. Experience a variety of de-stressing techniques to help you create a toolbox for managing stress and learn how to turn down your nervous system. An invaluable resource of material and knowledge everyone should have access to.

Somatic Yoga - A yoga class designed to unwind tense bodies, primarily floor and occasional chair based somatic movements, yoga asana and sensory meditation. Breath awareness, walking awareness and more! All participants welcome, gentle movement your body will thank-you for.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - A physical and energetic practice that links breath with movement. Flow from one posture to another with strength, intuition and mindfulness. Great for those who want a workout, to take their practice to the next level or simply to try something new and physically active.
Yin Yoga & Meditation - Yin yoga promotes a calm mind and still body through holding poses that stretch the deeper connective tissues. It is a gentle and meditative practice to help counter our often busy lives. Through Yin yoga you will learn different breathing and mindfulness techniques to help bring a sense of peacefulness and clarity to your life, both on and off the yoga mat.
Gentle Slow Flow Yoga - Awaken your body and mind in this gentle Hatha flow class. A combination of movement and restful poses will help to balance your mind, body, and heart.

Prenatal Yoga - Pre Natal is an especially important time in developing great lifestyle habits for both you and your baby. Join us for Prenatal Yoga where you will be gently guided through safe and appropriate yoga asanas for your trimester.Learn integral breathing techniques and about how yoga can assist you, on your birthing journey.
Other Yoga classes not currently on the schedule that we offer are: Therapeutic Yoga, Chakra Flow Yoga and our Mindful Movement Series, if you are interested in any of these classes mentioned please let us know, we will see if we can add it into the next schedule of 8 weeks!
Somatic MovementSomatic Movement classes are based in the tradition of Thomas Hanna and Hanna Somatic Education®. Somatic practices are widely renowned in helping people to regain freedom from aches and pains in their bodies. Through motor-sensory actions/exercises we can learn to turn down the tension in our bodies. Brain body work that will change the way you look at life.
This Late Autumn Schedule we are offering Somatic Yoga in lieu of our Somatic Movement class, it will return Jan 2021! |
Specialty Series
We often run shorter sessions of classes called series or courses, these are like workshops run over longer periods, you can expect to be immersed in the session and come away with more than having had a regular group class.
